I choose and protect my right to be in wonder.
It is a wonderful place to chance upon, to arrive at through meandering.
It is a place where defences drop. Where I surrender to something tiny, expansive, vast, fleeting, still.

Walking with my camera
Without ‘seeking to capture’.
Things, situations, appear and we
say hello, only just now, in this moment, in this light and time.

No one dare tell me where to look to find it.
I am thinking of wonder as a solo experience and a shared one.
Even when its shared, a part of me wants to retrieve to taste it, all alone.
Selfish. Greedy. Satiated. Grateful to be alone, and together.
